Bolts snapped on existing manifold from constant vibration. I am purchasing a used manifold # 979 141. I'm concerned about snapping the bolts (ten) on side of manifold to remove existing manifold. Any suggestions? how difficult would you rate replacing the manifold? Thanks in advance for any advice.

They should come right out, the 717's I've been into have been no problem and I'm near salt water.

That is encouraging! This boat has been fresh water only. So a good quality socket wrench will work? Impossible to find another boat in New England. Boat is in Maine. The whole covid thing has everyone staying put and buying boats and bikes. Thankyou

Lol, I'm in Philly area. Can't touch a bike at a reasonable price. I travel for work. Just snapped up an 04 YZ125 for a steal in Iowa. Threw it in my rental and drove home. Hasn't ran in 2 years, got in running in an afternoon. Ordered parts at my local dealer, wife picked them up while I was still in Iowa. Due to Iowa being on PA's hot state list I get to self quarantine, and work on the bike. I can't telecommute I turn wrenches for work. Getting paid to play. But going back to Iowa for another 2 weeks shortly. I could sell this right now and make good money. Oh, that's in a GMC Acadia.

Awesome that you can knock out a project like this on quarantine! Bike looks the balls now. Could be a great side business right now with all the request for recreation items. Go get em! I haven't been on the forum for some time and just realized I posted the same problem in 2009. I had a local mechanic do this job at the time. Hard to find anyone to fix these in my area now so I'm going to getter done. Thanks again.
