Very nice!!! With it being almost impossible to find OEM seats for these boats, it is nice to know there actually is an alternative. I bet you could make a few bucks fabbing up a kit to sell with all those parts. You gonna do anything with the other seats at some point to make em match?

Thank you!, I`m going to make bar stool seats with the factory helm seats bc they are in very good shape...:

There was a guy around me who had a set on craigslist. He made them into desk chairs with wheels. They actually looked kinda cool. I almost bought one just to keep as a spare for my old boat.

That's gravy if you want a bench. Some aluminum and a tig or stainless and a tig and whip up a quick 1" X 1" box tube frame, marine plywood for a bottom, foam and wrap it. Run the frame OVER the humps creating 3 mini storage pockets, you could even cantilever it out the front a tad too. Then get some pivot assemblies and frame up the back support. DONE. If you don't have a welder you can use some extruded aluminum it works mint and is super strong. We used to build conveyor frames from it, gantries to hang machinery etc.... so holding some azz should be easy. http://www.8020.net/ These guys have all the stuff, get that part# and google, ebay has lots of it too.

Here's a pivot assembly

Here's my Mailbox post. Before you ask, that's Metallic base/clear on the mail box and full stainless hardware. LOL, some days I have too much time. Thats a 3" square extruded pole with a 1.5"X3" wide out post to support the mailbox. The box is 1/8" thick steel and the post is sunk 3' in the dirt with 2 bags of cement. Poor kid who tries to play baseball with that is gonna shatter both wrists, SUCKA!

That's cool, I didn't know they made bench seats. I would assume you can get one in the right width? The reason I was saying to make your own is you could fit the contours.

Double barrel, did the same 3 foot in the ground with 2 bags of cement, I did a four box one to.

Of course your box looks much nicer.

Funny thing is, the guy from the city thinks, you would be liable if; someone hurts themselves by running into the mailbox.

Yeah, I think if you paint that 2X3 dark gray you'll be good to go. :willy_nilly:
