plastic pump or bronze metal pump doesn't matter both will fit. If it 's 140mm it will work. The bronze ones are much stronger if you suck up a rock you brake a fin usually with the plastic ones. I removed the plastic ones from my 98 Sportster 1800 since most of the fins were broken on one. Like 4 of them 1/2 missing. you need to swap the impellers like everyone else said.

But the main body of the 94 pump is aluminum, where the bronze pumps were plastic with a bronze stator. What I wasn't sure of is the recess in the pump support was too deep or too shallow to allow for the old style pump.

Purple is all aluminum

If that was the case then you should have asked that. Not trying to sound like a smart ass but I do service work and I love when guys leave out a little detail. I was more concerned about you sinking the ski but yeah, you for sure are going to be on the rev limiter.

sorry, I know that sometimes even if something looks like it will work it will not. I will check for water intrusion for sure. I really do appreciate your help Racer and everyone else. I am in a learning stage right now about jetskis.

I see what you are talking about. I have got to pull it off again and put the other impeller on the 94 pump. then for a test run. I will look closely for water intrusion, I will run it with out the seat for a few so I can watch... thanks again, I really appreciate it.

The pumps will fit. It did it on my boat your plastic pump looks just like the 2 I had. I think I bought a 94 and 95 pumps. Buying both used were still cheaper than 1 new plastic pump for $250. Yes you 94 mostly is aluminum but usually the stater part is bronze usually or looks bronze at least my 3 pumps are those are good ones get if you mess your pump up. My 95 GTX and now my boat has them. I think I paid like $70 each on Fleabay.. Your cone and nozzle will fit up on the old style pump

it seems to be working fine, I was having some other issues at first, but everything seems to be working great now. thank you all for your help. howie099 is correct the old style pumps will work. I am still waiting on my parts to get here. but tomorrow is fishing day. the river finally dropped down to the right height. gonna drown some crickets.
