1995 Seadoo GTX, doesn't go higher than 30 mph

Just an observation, you got paint missing on the left screw area, wonder if the bracket went there. Do you have the parts manual, does it show that part by itself?
it doesn’t, i did however look up the oil pump part number and there are two part numbers for OIL Assembly, all the mounts aren’t by themselves

Ok, I think we are getting somewhere.
Your ski should have the 657X engine which has the carb shafts inline unlike the 720 engines. Your oil pump should not have the oil pump cable bracket as it is mounted to the MAG carb diaphragm cover.
The 720 engines use the bracket on the oil pump.

It is number 66 on the parts diagram.

This is so confusing because on the diagram for the Service Manual for the 1995 Seadoo GTX, it doesn't show the mount on the oil pump mount itself

And when you look at the parts catalog for the 657 engine, it doesn't show either oil pump mount

The issue is, the service manual isn't very specific on the engine type and if it's twin carbs or not in the diagrams provided because it references both without the mount and with the mount, lol.So I think you are right @mikidymac

Note the service manual sates, "Typical". The 657X was not "Typical", LOL.

Look at your picture of the parts breakdown, in the bottom right it shows the oil pump cover, Note the GTX cover does not have the cable bracket, the GTS does. Your cable bracket is on the MAG carb.

Oh wow, missed that.....Thanks for your help @mikidymac

I will go ahead and fix it up, replace the MAG cylinder oil line, and do a compression test to see if I am totally F$@4 with the 30 mph bottleneck

I fixed everything else, oil pump and oil pump lines

So i did a compression test

PTO cylinder : 110-115
MAG cylinder: 115-120

With WOT,both are exactly at 120

110 to 120 is really low. You're not using a harbor freight gauge, are you? They have a defective design and can read low.

You're supposed to have 150 and most will stop working right around 120

Autozone, the compression gauge i got looks barely used actually.Im taking it to the lake right now to test

Compression is always tested with the throttle wide open.
I would test again with a different gauge. If both show 120 then sadly it’s time for a rebuild.

I took it to the lake, top speed only capped to 37 mph,i am not sure if i should do full engine rebuild or just top end

Tough call as the 95’ GTX isn’t a very desirable model and you would need to spend a thousand at minimum for a full rebuild. At minimum I would do top end and all new crank seals but the correct way is new top and bottom end.

Sbt sells the whole thing for like $989
best-of-luck-with-that-good-luck.gif

WSM Pistons and rings are $75 each
WSM Complete gasket kit $75
PWC Muscle has a forum discount for WSM parts.
Group K cylinder boring $120
Competitive Crankshafts Rebuild $600
All in $945 for an engine that will last another 20 years, not a Shouldn't Buy Trash engine that will be dead before the warranty expires.
Remember with SBT you pay shipping both ways and for warranty repairs.

Why do you say that? Are they bad???
Well, find me one that is still running after a few years.
You get cases and cylinders from someone else's ski and most are salt turds, parts are substandard and sometimes mismatched. Of all the SBT engines I have personally seen, all have blown up very quickly. Their piston pin clips do not belong in any engine. Their warranty requires you to pay shipping both ways everytime and you can't open the engine or it is voided too.
