Alright, my dad has a friend and he said he would sell us his 97 xp if we could fix it and get it working and everything. Three years ago, before he put it up for the winter and never messed with it again he said it would start, but blow a fuse every time (VTS fuse was blown when we got it, so i assumed that one) and he would have to switch the fuse to be able to start it again. (he said he carried a box of 7.5a fuses when he went out)

I put a battery in it, checked fuses, plugged lanyard (heard two beeps) VTS gauge went to level, clicked the start/stop button and nothing. no solenoid click. no crank. nothing. I opened the electrical box and found that the 15a fuse inside of it was corroded so i replaced, and still nothing.

Anyhow, where should i start?

thanks,

Shea.

if thats corroded, more than likely, more wires, connections, ring terminals, and cables are bad and no good contacts. ALso, when finished checking/fixing everything, unplug the VTS unit, and fire it up.
