Hello,

I am a new seadoo owner. The doo works fine I just feel its not accelerating properly at the start.

I notice that my ski doesn't take off as it should. If I hold the throttle at 1/4 to 1/2 it barley moves.. Then when I open it up the engine revs for about a second then takes off. I have replaces the exhaust valves, gaskets, orings also new spark plugs. I have a feeling its something to do with the carbs. ANY IDEAS?????? I don't want to spend to much on it can this problem be fixed by me?

I just want the seadoo to take off quick after turns with no bogging!

Sounds like its cavitating. Does it feel like if you were in a car that the clutch is slipping.

If thats the case its most likely either the wear ring or carbon seal. I would replace both.

Had this problem with both of my '97xp's. Turned out to be dirty carbs and bad accelerator pumps $266 per pump and $200 labor each to fix.
