This question is 2 part. 1.)Do they make a bigger swap out tank for these? the 9 gallon is terrible and last about 2 hrs on the river 2.) While researching, I came across a major recall for the 96s on the tanks. I seen the new ones are white and my 2 are tan tanks. Is that the original tank, Is the recall still able to be done if not being that its almost 20 yrs old, and is there a way to find out if there replaced through seadoo?

You can use the 12 gallon tank from the GSX/ GTI. But using it, you will have to remove your front storage bin , or modify it.

I need to check mine too. My brother thinks it was changed but not positive. It's kind of tan but after all these years I'm sure it would change colors.

I seen a white one...they are like white white....where mine are like a dirty tan...I think the new replacements are the whites

They're white cause the fuel hasn't stained them yet. Just call your dealer, they'll them you need to see if your gas tank had been replaced under the recall. Give them your HIN, they can do it while your on the phone, it's that fast. Don't by their bullshit that they can't or its not covered. I got 2 last year. If they say yours has been replaced you can verify it with the mold dates. I posted how to read them on here about 6 months ago. But your dealer should not hassle you since the ski "could" blow up if the filler neck cracked.

racer is correct, the dealer will verify with the VIN.

and yes, you can add the T-Tank, which adds capacity, it will not install through the front hole, the motor must come out, I purchased one from Tonka when my engine blew and figured it was the best time to add fuel capacity, it helped a little since I could squeeze an extra 10-12 miles onto my range, not perfect but a start. (Also a bit of a pain to install and route the fuel filler)
