1996 Sea Doo XP lurching

Hi. My XP won't get over about 25 mph. When you give it more gas it bogs down and will lurch (rev up) from time to time but always bogs back down. The plugs look good so that leads me to believe it is being starved of fuel. My manual shows a small filter in each carb but it appears you have to remove and disassemble the carb to get at them. Is there another filter somewhere? Has anyone heard of this problem before?

Common problem - join the club.....especially mid 90s generation Seadoos.

My 96 XP was bogging at WOT almost like it was out of gas. Changed out the fuel lines, and just finished cleaning out the filyers in the carbs. I don't know jack about carbs but this was actually pretty easy to do. Just look around this site as there are a couple of threads with pics on how to rebuild the carbs. These threads really help out. Good luck.
