HI all,

Just picked up a second hand 96 GTI. I've had several Seadoos in the past, but this is my first experience with the LCD info center. First, the ski runs strong and smooth, I'm very impressed with it considering its 13 years old. The LCD displays nothing. Nothing when the eingine is running, nothing when its not. Nothing when the key is applied. All four red lights do light when the enigne is stared but quickly go out, except the low fuel light - it stays on constantly. No warning buzzer, just a constant low fuel light and absolutely nothing on the display.
My first thought is the gauge is bad, but a few other posts mention other symptoms like bad baffle, float, or harness. Can anyone confirm I am looking at the right thing first in suspecting the gauge?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ryan

Bump

Still looking for anyone's input on where to start on this problem. The guage is VERY expensive, so if there is anything I should check first, I'm willing to try it.

Thanks again!

Ryan

Well, it's most likely the gauge needs to be replaced but I'd check all the connections and all the wiring first. If you happen to need one I have a brand new one I'll sell for $200 shipped.

Thanks for the info and the offer. I already have a new one on order from ebay. If that doesn't fix the issue, do you happen to have a baffle assembly for sale? OEM item number 275500318

Thanks,

Ryan

you can meter out and check the baffle /fuel sender unit 2 wires coming from the baffle unit in top of tank
not sure where but somewhere on the forum is a guide for the fuel sender and how to test/ repair it
