lol caught being a smart ass. I would love snow but we can't even get rain or even a sprinkle.
The best I have found in a bilge is a Corona bottle in about a thousand pieces.

lol love snow maybe every once in a while.. but I wouldn't mind having it be warm year round. and I can only imagine the joy of cleaning that mess up..

well here are some of the pictures of using the "super clean" after never trying this product and being recommended to it by other members this stuff actually works great!

after work tomorrow I plan on removing the oil tank draining it and cleaning it up along with finishing cleaning up the gas tank. and hopefully reinstalling both back into the ski and adding the correct xps mineral oil. adding in the inline fuel filter and does anyone know where is the best place for this? and the new fuel selector

il have to pick some up tomorrow thanks for the heads up! and I bought my selector new OEM, figured where everything else on fuel system is new its worth the piece of mind. the fuel filter in line any advice?

You should buy a lottery ticket. Only new fuel selectors. A seized engine is not worth the risk.

Btw: ski is looking great.

thanks it's getting there hoping to make some good progress tonight on it. probably will hold off on putting tanks back in since I thought about it because like stated earlier I need to do some work on the hull and turn it upside down. no tanks and no battery I shouldn't have a mess correct? leaving upside down wont cause any damage to engine??

We had about an inch a little while ago ... rain that is.

Ya just gotta get into the vintage skis ... lotsa stuff in the bilge.

One of the real experts will need to chime in here regarding where the residual water in the exhaust system goes when you invert it, I know it makes a difference which way you right it if you flip it in the water.

Without reviewing the entire post for this, but you are subject to the fuel tank recall. Call your local dealer with HIN and they can tell you if it has been done. No cost to you for this.

after reading up on a couple other builds I did call the dealer and the recall has been done on mine and when I cleaned my tank up it seems to hold true. no damage and no cracking and had a sticker written on top in pen before I pressure washed it (was to faded to read) and if one of the experts wants to chime in that would be great!

As long as you fire it up a few times to blow the water out and roll it the way the sticker shows you should be fine.

ok even if it stays upside for awhile while I do the hull work? and I plan on removing exhaust to replace all gaskets that I already ordered should I remove the exhaust before I turn ski upside down??

I would say yes; that is where the residual water hangs out. Anything in the cooling jacket should drain out when you remove the exhaust manifold.

update: haven't had much time lately as work is getting busy. what free time I did have I was able to follow another thread about building a pwc cart and made one up for the spx! will be making two more for the waverunners. pictures below and credit to my fiancé for lending a hand!
