I had a couple of questions. I have a 2004 WV2200 jet ski trailer. I plan on going on a 10hr drive.
It has the 20.5/8-10 tires rated at 70psi cold
1- is that trailer good for long distance?
2- if so what psi should I run?
3-Any thing I should look out for?
Any help would be appreciated
4- should I stop and give them a shot of grease?

I did a 3800 mile cross country trip about 3 weeks ago. I was towing a trailer with the same size tires. Tires were brand new (less than 200 miles on them) when we started the trip. I made sure to grease the bearings with a good sythetic wheel bearing grease before we left. After that I put 2 squirts in in the morning for the first 2 days. Didn't touch them after that. The trailer had about 1000 lbs of weight on it. I checked the temperature of the tires at every fillup. Touched them with my hand, as long as they weren't hot to the touch I wasn't concerned. They remained quite warm, but nothing you couldn't hold your hand on for an extended period of time. I also watched for uneven wear on the tread. I ran the tires at 50 psi. I've been told you should run the pressure them based on the amount of weight your carrying.

Has the trailer been well maintained? Have you jacked the trailer up to check any noise when the wheels turn or any excessive play?

I drove from Florida to new york straight with a jetski and jetski trailer and it was fine just feel the tires and put your hand on the bearing caps to see if they are extremely hot at every fill up. If not keep on going.. But make sure before you leave theres a good amount of grease in on the bearings.

WHEN i BOUGHT THE MY TWO JET SK'S THE TRAILER WAS INCLUDED. tHE SKI'S DID NOT HAVE MANY HOURS SO THE TRAILER LOOKS GOOD. NO BEARING NOISES ,JUST THE USUAL CREEKS AND SQUEEKS. WANTED TO SAY THANKS TO ALL REPLIES .THAT GIVES ME SOME PEACE OF MIND. I HAVE HAD TRAILERS ALL MY LIFE BUT NEVER WENT MORE THAN A COUPLE OF HOURS.
