Took ski out...ran really good, out of the hole a little doggy..idle was way down around 5-600..going to adjust idle tomorrow...

Well got everything back together..fuel selector valve was dirty as all get out...some gunk in the tank...all lines replaced..took a while to finally get gas to the carbs...but when it did fired right up and sounds pretty good...hope to take to lake tomorrow and give her a try...

Well like I said...I was overthinking it...Got the carbs out and proceded to check everything out on the carb...filters were black, lots of junk in them...got them cleaned up and rest of carb...will start putting everything back together and replacing line tomorrow!

Had some others things gong tonight and didn't get a chance to mess with it...last thing I want to do is work on it and be aggreavated..Thanks for the extra info boyd...and Lou can't say enough...sometimes I think I might just overthink it as I am trying to figure out the mechanics of it instead...

How low do I want to go in the trailer? How far do I need to be from the cross member when up on the bunk boards? I look to have about 6" as the brackets are mounted as high as they will go...

Yea any help would be appreciated...I have the carbs laying in the bottom of the hull...also I do not have the choke off either...guiandance please..

Lou..got the carb all loose..choke cable loose, how do I remove the linkage on the bottom?

Will do...also do I need to remove the baffle/filter in the tank? Empty tank and all..some say yea..but again my doo only has 50 hrs, and runs pretty good...what do you think? It sounds like a real pain to pull...

Anyone in the Dayton Ohio area that has done the carb filter/fuel lines on a 951 that may be able to give a little guidance?

I got my bunks positioned this weekend and they sit a little lower in the trailer and the bunks are in full contact with each ski. But now I am looking at how the skis sit front to back on the trailer. I have a dual shorelander with a 01 GTX and a 01 RX. The GTX is about 3" from the back of...

Great read...and good info..thanks..I'm pretty handy but the carbs scare me a bit..Might go ahead and change the lines then find someone local to clean the carbs and change filters...looks a little challenging to me..I also have a 01 GTX that probably needs the same thing. Both are low hour...

My single trailer I went from the rear tow hook to trailer in both corners..on my new (to me) shorelander double trailer it goes from tow hook to brackets ton the back bottom of the bunky boards... which I don't really care for...seems weak..would rather mount from tow hook to trailer..
