I did the fuel feed lines only, not the return or vent. I took about 18 feet. I bought 12 feet to start with and had to go back for more.

Thanks Doc. I was thinking the direction of the impeller would hold it against the thrust bearing but wasn't sure if this much movement was too much. It does explain the noisy pump out of water as you say.

Can anyone tell me how much end float is allowed in the impeller assembly? I replaced the wear ring and prop. I don't know how much there was before I started. I can move the prop in and out, (not sided to side) about .070 in.
