I have a 95 gtx and I know you can hook a water hose to the engine at some place and run it without having to launch the ski, but I am not sure where to hook it up and what I would need to have so I can hook it up. Does anyone have some input?

Should have a hose hook up on the head toward the pto. People do remove them time of they leak or break them.

So this? It has a bolt screwed into it so I believe I'm missing something and somebody just plugged it

Even so, you can only run it for about 1 minute even on the hose. The hose is a FLUSH and the water runs in reverse. Also, the Carbon Seal will get VERY hot and can damage itself if not in the water.

Assuming your ski has the carbon type dirveshaft seal (as opposed to the older style sealed carrier bearing driveshaft seal), running time should be kept to a minimum to avoid overheating the carbon seal despite having cooling water for the engine and exhaust. To avoid overheating the carbon seal.

There are ways around this but for my purposes I don't consider the option. I rarely use a hose to run mine on the trailer b/c I keep the running time to about 30 seconds, just as a quick test prior to launching to confirm engine will start and run normally

If yours has the carbon type seal and you must run longer, consider either a water spray bottle for lubricating the carbon type seal, or release the tension against the bellows to keep your carbon piece and rubber bellows happy.

Typically 96+ use the carbon art up. The other give away is the hose on the ski that holds the bearing carrier is smooth (as seen in his pic) and not an accordion boot like the ones with the carbon.

I have the same ski it is just a bearing . should have a grease fitting on it. New adapter is like 15 dollars

Thanks guys, I just wanna fire it up and see if it runs decent than shut it off, on a side note does anybody know where can I get the little oil pump lines for a 657x engine?

Last time I bought it I got it from home depot. It's a few bucks. It's in the plumbing department. It's reddish in color made by watts. It's 3/32, or go to your local lawn mower repair shop.

Yup, I was at HD a few weeks ago and found these. Didn't know they had them till then. I just ordered 3/32 Tygon lines off amazon when I did mine.

Yep, I posted the info last year sometime, but it just gets bumped down the thread line. Is nice to be able to snag it late at night when the mower shop closed that you missed on the ride home from work.

So guys this line is 3/32 ID? Cause I have a lot of different hardware and small engine shops around me that may have some.
