Hi guys after some more help my ski had a fault with the ski would run with no dress key up! After checking it out the loom had a bit of corrosion in it in places so sourced a second had one replaced it all tonight mines a gtx the loom came from a rxp I think all plugs in the same apart from its missing the plug for the depth transducer. Put the fuses in all powered up when to press start and it shut down nothing at all on the dash and a now a bussing from the ecu???? My thoughts battery flat so removed the fuses on the power lead charged up for 30min put fuses in all powered up beeping press start and does the same again??? Any input would be great on this. Please help Suns out and should be using it

The buzzing sound is almost always the solenoid and it is caused from a low voltage issue. You need to do a LOAD TEST on the battery, not just sitting there doing nothing. Though, the static number couldn't hurt any.

Get those numbers and let us know what you have.

Also, the wires may not be the same from loom to loom and it may be powering the trigger wire on the solenoid.

Hi guy results was low voltage on the battery once chargerd it started fine ran the ski today but still has a fault code for the knock sensor and also revs fine up to 4000rpm then starts miss firing. One could looked really bad and looked brunt on the side and didn't smell to clever like it was burnt a friend had an old coil so ran it with that seemed better reved to 5000rpm then miss fires again any help and input would be great guys

101hrs did oil and filter today and a set of plugs but still the same thinking maybe more than one coils gone bad??

The oil was supplied by the Jetski centre along with the service parts. Could it be the ski is stuck in the Learner mode? Heard that this cuts the power to the 3rd cylinders hence only letting it rev to 4000rpm?

you said above it went to 5k tho so I don't think it would be stuck or you would not get there. Sounds like a plug or coil issues to me if your sure plugs are gapped right and in good shape do a few coil test

Ok guys so ran the ski today borrowed my mate coils and also checked the plug gaps and made the rite, ski runs fine upto 5000-5500 sometime doesn't misfire than other time it will won't push past that also showing the p1502 fault code. Any input would be great guys.

Update tryed a ecu you from anther ski with dress key still get the same fault code. Any thoughts on this guys really stuck at the min where to go next

You need a new TOPS valve or a TOPS switch, they do fail. As far a jumper, a resistor which as I recall is around 2 ohms would probably work if you open the valve manually but why mess with it when it is telling you it isn't working and why not just replace it? Read the manual, it will solve your problems.

It won't run right if the TOPS valve is not opening when you put the key on. The ski is in limp mode from that code so changing coils and spark plugs probably won't tell you much.

Hi guys i have replaced the tops sensor but still showing the same fault code so now alittle stuck as what to try next

Spark plugs failing will cause the ski to act like it is in limp mode. Old or new plugs can fail. Rotate out the plugs with new ones. You never know if the parts guy dropped them on the floor.
Another thing is the battery. You may think the battery is good, but in fact it is failing. Don't test the battery directly after charging. Let it sit overnight and then do a Load test- stress test. Vibration of jumping and battery acid loss will slowly kill a battery. If you end up getting a new battery, buy a AGM sealed battery.
*A learning key is marked and will only allow the engine up to 5,000 RPMs.
*Too much oil in the crank case will fowl the spark plugs. Must be in the middle of the two lines.
*if the Supercharger is out it will only give you little power. Pull off the hose on the SC and see if you can spin the impeller with your finger. If it spins freely then you need to replace or rebuild.

Hi thanks for your input I have tested the battery and seems fine, I will check the plugs tho I still have the same fault throught the hole time before the loom was changed and all the other parts. I'm going to start checking all the earths and even maybe take the loom back out and check wire to each pin in the ecu plugs to make shore no breaks in it.
