    Performance Issue 1998 GTX Limited

Wanted some expert opinions...Think I'm in the right place! :). 951 Motor, newly rebuilt and has probably 20 or so hours on it since installation. From the very beginning if you slowly increase speed between the 2000 to 3500 RPM range it will die off. If you hold that position between 2000...

Engine Failure of some sort Rotax 717

I managed to find some time to take apart the engine further. I took it apart to where the Rotary valve is exposed. I removed the spark plugs and spun the pto by hand. I noticed while I turned it it seem to get held up and the Rotary valve would stop moving as I continued to turn the PTO then...

Engine Failure of some sort Rotax 717

Wanted an opinion of the possible failures that occured before tearing it apart. I took both of my seadoo gs out last weekend. My buddy was riding one and ran perfectly for about an hour. Suddenly the engine cut out on the 1999 seadoo gs and would not start. Plenty of fuel, is oil injected...

    A troublesome 1998 gtx limited

I just did another compression test and the cyclinder that had 127 now has just a hair above 121-122 psi, and the other cylinder is about the same 139-140 psi.

    A troublesome 1998 gtx limited

Yes I did replace the lines between the carbs. I also checked the pump to verify it was squirting fuel into both barrels. Flicking the throttle helps it take off when its hesitating however it will always cut out on me.

    A troublesome 1998 gtx limited

Yes carb bolts are tight, I took it out last weekend and had problems so spent this week removing the carbs and checking everything again. I took it out this morning and it has the same problem. They do have new base gaskets and it is tight..I did use aftermarket parts on the carbs so perhaps...

    A troublesome 1998 gtx limited

I'm about to give up on this machine and cut my losses..really don't want to spend the on season tearing this thing apart. Anyways to refer to previous posts I ran this machine last summer and had issues with starting it up. It would run at full speed just fine and had plenty of power. I...

    fuel baffle fix - 951

I just fixed the baffles in both of my seadoo gs's..one was a bad float and the other I had to cut into and desolder that fuse. I just did as that one post referenced and replaced the fuse with a solder joint. Placed the plastic baffle piece back on and used a soldering iron and zip ties to...
