hi guys

need some more of your input on my 97 xp 787 if i may
i have fixed my choke issue(help from pwcdoc&nate&nswillin) rebuilt the carbys(did not change the jets thou)changed the grey stuff ,cleaned all the filters ,did a comp test (thanks robin savell lloyd)witch was 150psi in both pots ,got spark (new plugs),got fuel but it is still bogging down in the mid range then it will just take off .it idles ok in the water and is cool till just be for it wants to get on the plane then burrrrr it just sits at that speed (occasionally it will take off when it does it flyes)so please any more help or advice would be great

ps out the water this thing revs its head off so its very frustrating

You might still have restrictions somewhere in fuel delivery?, did you do the "pop-off" test on the n/s(needle and seat) assy?, if you wanna try something quick, disconnect the red wire from the rectifier, see if that solves the problem, if so, replace the rectifier.

Out of curiousity, on the black powervalve caps there is a red knob in the center....where is the top of that red knob in relation to the cap? Can you take a picture of it/them?

thanks guys

thanks in advance jeff

What up jethead....
Take a gander at the "red cap" as to pwcdoc advise, along with disconnecting the red wire from rectifier first. These are simple task, maybe the forum can catch the problem for you, before gut'n the carbs...
