XP help please

hello i have a 96 xp 787 motor.. i pull my bateries out every winter and tricle charge themm when i put my bat. in my xp with the lanyard not on the the red bat lite came on. the only time it goes off is when i disconnect bat.. any help would be great full.. i dont know much about skies,but if you guys ever need a question answered on automotive rebuilding or refinishing. i can help.. been a autobody tech for 22 years thks again

I just had this same problem with my 96GTI it's got the same multi-gauge that your ski has, turned out to be the gauge itself, I'm going to find the thread and refer you to it, it's not very long and there is some trouble shoot you can do.

As Lou said... it could be the gauge. BUT.... have you gone out and ridden the ski yet?
