I sold my seadoo 180. I trying to make a up my mind, to buy another seadoo boat or go yamaha. I love the seadoo but always worried about it blowing up because of the (S/C). Would you recomend on to a friend.. To be honest I would not unless he was able and willing to work on it. I dont understand why Seadoo doesnt let all the seadoo dealers to authorization for free off charge to support all of use who have bought there product...just my .02C

The supercharger blowing up is not a concern for me. There's a specific maintenance schedule and as long as it's followed, there should be no issues. Now if the rebuild expense $435 each, is too much, then I wouldn't recommend a Sea Doo.

If I were to buy another jetboat, I'd go Yamaha myself simply because the Sea Doo line of boats are no longer in production and service is not very easy to find for many. I've had Yamahas before and they were always great toys for me.

you could always go with a twin 155 n/a challenger 210 if your concerned about superchargers..resale may be a bigger concern down the road if less and less shops are willing to work on them

The guy I bought this from said it was a 205se. And I believe it because it has similarities but it's hard to tell. He said he changed the hull. So it only says 205. But I've had it for a year. It's got twin rotax 155 hp each. 2 engines totaling 310 hp. It's fast as hell. On flat water. I raced a couple of jetskis. And scarabs. And even went tiptoeing with other jetskis. Cut new lanes. Jumped some waves even they were impressed. I stayed with them about 7 min then headed to the sandbar. They saw the boat when they passed by and said the thing is a MONSTER and they'd like to invite me out nextime thier crew rides out. It is definetly an expensive ride. I need help maintaining it. I know they love a tune up and theat my next thing besides a wake tower. She's perfect. The Porsche of all jet boats.

I have the 06 180 it's been good has the 215SC is a nice size for our family of 5 I could use some more power [emoji41] but it does the job. The only thing that really gets to me is the low nose angle when you hit some waves when your not under power. It's a little tough to teach on because of that but overall it's good. Would I buy another? I'd like to try the Yamaha I like the hull better and the dual engines would be nice 212x I'd like to try.

I own a SeaDoo 180 and the local SeaDoo dealer (Brooksville, FL) will not service my boat. This dealer sells and services SeaDoo jet skis. Barney's Motorcycle and Marine of Brooksville will sell me parts for my SeaDoo but will not service my boat. They told me they don't service SeaDoo boats anymore. Even though I love my SeaDoo, that alone would be enough to warrant a look into a Yamaha jet boat the next time around.

2012 was the last year SeaDoo made a boat and every year that boat gets a year older. So the newest SeaDoo boat you could buy today is already 5 years old. Also the technology has greatly advanced in the last five (5) years and will continue to advance. This new technology will leave SeaDoo boats in the dust. If not now, eventually the SeaDoo boat will be to old to even consider buying.

Thats a huge concern for me. I dont understand why seadoo has shit on the boat owners... All seadoo jetski dealers should provide support. It like buy a ford and now the will not service there trucks.... Total Bullshit:facepalm:
