Ok so I just replaced my fuela and oil lines on my 95 xp and now it work run on its on the only way is to use starting fluid and then it shoots out white smoke like crazy and then dies. I pulled the line going to the carb thinking it wasn't getting gas but there was gas there. Anyone have any ideas?

ONLY use pre-mix fuel to prime with. The top ring of the fuel sender is clearly marked. You may have the fuel lines improperly routed.

if you've used pump gas, the ethanol may have destroyed the water separator/filter fuel element, the square o-ring, the carb diaphragm, internal carb filter.
Remove the fuel supply line from carb, put a 1' long clear line on the carb nipple and hold a shot gas with pre-mix fuel in it, into the glass and crank/run engine.
If it drinks fuel and runs, the prob is in the fuel delivery system components.

Only thing I can think of is you've possibly mixed your return line with your supply line? When changing my Tempo fuel lines I accidentally messed this up. Just confirm!

Unless you're using some kind of starting fluid with oil in it you shouldn't see smoke. If it doesn't have oil in it then you shouldn't be using it at all. Use premix.

Since you're seeing smoke with starting fluid, it has to be getting oil from somewhere. I notice you changed your oil lines at the same time you changed your fuel lines. They're about the same diameter ... could you possibly have hooked the oil feed line to the carb input? It's easy enough to mix up these lines when just doing the fuel system. Doing the oil lines at the same time inceases the chance of a mixup. They both go to the same general area. If so, you're lucky it didn't start so if I were you I wouldn't try to start it on starting fluid or premix until you figure this out. Otherwise you could burn up the rv bearing and/or strip the gear and once the tank pressurizes you could end up with a hull full of fuel if the feed line isn't connected to anything. If it's connected to the oil bath feed, that would not end well for your lower end or possibly start a fire.

Follow the line from the carb and see where it comes from. If it disappears under the oil tank that's probably what happened. Make sure your fuel feed line is connected to the proper place or blocked off.

If the ski ran fine before you did the work you described, then the work you did is the problem. Follow the logic of it. As others have noted in this thread, you've likely just hooked something up wrong.
Happens to the best of us, lol! Good luck!

I didn't actually replace the oil lines just the oil filter and the small weed eater line sized line on each side of the carbs. I can't see the oil moveing throught those line it's just a couple spits and also on the oil rerun line going back to the tank I can see oil in the line but it has about 6 inches more to go until it reaches the oil tank. I would think that means it wasn't getting any oil

+1 on the incorrect plumbing. But...Was it running before you changed the lines? It could be your crank seals are bad and letting in oil. You can pull the plugs, ground the caps, and crank it some with a towel over the holes. Does it puke a bunch of oil out?

Basically I just got this ski it had been sitting sense 2004 four. I got it up a new battery and it started up and I let it run for a few minuets and then turned it off because I didn't see any smoke and I was afraid it wasn't gettig any oil. I started it up the next day just to make sure I got all the water out of it. Then I replace the fuel lines one by one so I didn't mix them up. That being said I may have still moved them up some how. The next day I was looking and saw that the little oil line on the front carb was cracked so I replaced both of them and now it won't start and I'm still concerned that it's not getting oil. Te fact that I can see oil in the return line and it hasn't moved at all or put any more in the tank is really concerning me

The oil in the return line should not move. It's an oil bath. You should have a few inches of clear line before the tank with no oil in it

Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Oo ok cool so the line coming out of the fuel filter and into the cars should the be on the bottom of the front carb or going around the carbs and then splitting into two lines

If you ran it for a few minutes and it didn't seize it was probably getting oil. You might want to use premix until you know for sure. After replacing the oil filter, did you bleed the line? There's a bleed screw on the oil pump that needs to be loosened to let the air out until you see no more bubbles in the line and get a solid stream of oil. Don't tighten the bleed screw too tight. Run the engine on premix at idle and hold the oil pump advance to full open. You should see oil making it's way through the small tubes from the pump to the RV cover.

The line coming out of the fuel filter goes to the inlet of the fuel pump.
