Wierd noise nee help

Hi guys, I juste started my challenger 787 1998 for the first time since I bought it. There is a wierd sounds coming from the impeller and i am wondering if it's normal? Seems to me like if there is something loose and if something is wrong I will call the dealer to get it fixed asap. Thanks guys

If it sounds like a rattle then that is normal especially if you are running it out of the water. It will somewhat go away under load once it's in the lake.

OK you added the video as I was posting. It sounds normal to me, but I'm somewhat hard of hearing too.

Also for next time, I wouldn't run it on the hose much longer than a minute...your vid was about 45 seconds.

Yep I agree sounds pretty normal, it's called the SeaDoo rattle and is caused by play in the impeller shaft, once you get your boat in the water and go above idle speed, the noise will stop. As far as your impeller goes it looks pretty rough also your impeller boot is missing, I would go ahead and pull the pump and get a better look also check your wear ring.

BTW never run your boat on the trailer for more than 2 minutes without providing cooling water to the carbon seal.
