Hello boys,

Making a list of parts that I need to buy and next one is the neutral/forward/reverse gear cable as my gears are very hard to put in. So I checked the Control blueprint but not sure what part I need to buy, because I guess its not the throttle cables

Any help?

Edit: Or is it this "cable reverse" that is what Im looking for?

have you taken the cable off the rear pump assembly and tried it then?? Try lubricating the assembly that comes through the hull, I would bet that it is corroded which is causing the stiff feel. If all moves freely then move onto the cables.

Havent checked it yet as its ass cold here in Sweden and the boat is outside. I heard it doesnt help much to lubricate this problem but better to buy new cable?

What assembly are u talking about, could u point it out on the blue print?

So you are finding it hard to go between F/N/R. In that case as above disconnect the cable from the bucket end of the mechanism and try it to see if the cable is causing the issue or if it is fine. If it is fine then you will need to look at the bucket mechanism after the cable attachment. As stated above again it could have some corrosion causing you the issue.

Either way you need to have a play with it and try pinpoint the issue before just buying parts. Also if with the cable disconnected it is hard then also disconnect cable at the control lever end to check that its not in the lever itself.

To check the cable in the second link (Reverse) from your first post you need to find bolt 17 and nut 25 with associated washers and remove it to disconnect the bucket system from the cable.

The buckets im referring to are items 1 in that link.

Thanks I appreciate your help!

Any tips how to work in the engine compartment, its such a tight space!

Hard to say, good tools is always handy. I only have ski not the boat but they run the same system basically.

I would expect that end of the cable going to the bucket system to be out the back of the boat by the jet units. Thats if its like a ski.
