Where is the starter on a 1999 GTX ?

I can't find it. The positive lead is going under the left side of the motor.
How do I get to it. I think I need to replace it.
Can I rebuild the one I have?
DOes anyone have instructions on replacing it?

Do I have to take the carbs off to get to the starter ?

no....If memory serves correctly, theres 2-allen bolts that hold the front, which has a bracket with it, along with 1-allen bolt, located at back of starter.
