can anyone tell me if this hose just lays in the bilge or is it supposed to be connected somewhere? Has thread tape on it and that’s why I ask. Also any idea what the two wires go to that are not connected on the starboard side of engine? Previous owner had the top end of the motor rebuilt a few years back.

Or the plug that’s coming out of the back of the engine? Runs perfectly fine and starts on first crank just curious what these wires and plug go to

Hose- appears to be bilge suction/drain. Connects to tube inside the jet stator where velocity is highest-- pressure is lowest. Sucks water out while engine is running. There should be an air vent on this hose somewhere near the cylinder head. Without the vent, it can sink your boat. There have been some known issues with gray hose. Delaminating, collapsing when used as fuel hose. Bilge siphon should be OK.

2 wires- orphans. Merc sold this M2 jet package to several boat builders. Some used these wires. Seadoo does not.

Connector-- appears to connect to temp sensor.

Thank you @Tim75 ! I’ve looked everywhere and there Isn’t anywhere to connect the Temp sensor connector. Previous owner stated when the boat was run hard and then shutoff it would give issues restarting and I’ve noticed that a few times I’ve had it out. Have to crank the wheel all the way to left/right while cranking to Start, assume it’s getting a bit of fuel when doing that from the “docking assist thrust” Do you think that detached temp sensor could be the cause?

How many pins in the connector?
