What's the best thing you ever towed with your ski?

Just curious if anyone has a sweet story about towing in a speed boat with some honeys on it? I helped a guy out by towing in his pontoon that wouldn't crank. It was about a 24 footer and I was on the GSX. Luckily we could see the ramp and I didn't get it above 4000rpm. I picked up a drunk swimmer one time in my boat. He and his buddy thought they could make it across the lake and back. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have. What about you guys?

I was out in the lake last week and I ended up giving two girls separate rides on my RX, and only dropping one of them off. ;-)

Yes, I consider that a tow.

This one time a neighbor loaded up his pontoon full of beer and a few girls and headed out to party on the sandbar for the day. About a mile out or so he realized he forgot the gas tank (he removed it because there's been a few stolen off pontoons) and the lines ran dry. I happen to be arising around when he flagged me down and I towed him in.

On 4th of July a different neighbor had to get his 16' fishing boat to the marina (4 miles away roughly). The thing felt like a tube behind me at 25mph or so. He said that boat has never been that fast. EVER lol maybe that wasn't so smart on my part but hey no damage done on either end so no biggie.

Both of those were towed with my RXT.

The WORST thing I ever towed was a 20' log that came partially dislodged from the bottom of the lake and was protruding just a couple inches above the water in an area where several kids were tubing.

I also towed my wife's ski back to the dock when she said she got about 100 yards out and the ski just died. Had to really bite my tongue when I get her back to the dock and see she didn't turn the fuel valve on!

My GTS bogged down one time. I pinched it's water feed line and planed it out with the spx to get it back to the dock and enjoy the rest of the day. I was probably doing 40mph or so with that thing back there. No harm done; I was surprised the rope held :)

Another time, my friend and I went camping for a long weekend. We brought the boat and both jet skis. Had the boat tow both skis inline at idle speed, like mama duck and her babies :)

Yet another time, I towed in a flipped over sailboat with the GTS right before a big storm hit. Took quite a while to cover 400yds as the hull kept trying to bury itself underwater.

PS: I'll always stop to help someone out and always refuse money. I've been there too many times myself, and there's nothing like the feeling of helping someone out in need.

I towed an 18 foot old fiberglass boat that was probably 30 seconds from drifting into the break wall.

Once I got them away from the wall, I used their anchor line and towed them into the marina. Took about 40 minutes.

My flying kite tube is by far the best thing that we have towed.

A couple years ago I pulled a very nice 2010 Seadoo RXT back to shore with my 1993 Kawasaki 650 TS. The RXT was overheating for some reason. I wish I could have gotten pictures of that!

How is the kite tube? It looks to be a ball. Are they stable when in the air.

I'm at 34,000 feet right now so I can't watch te video until I land.

I am certain the picture would have clearly shown a Seadoo pushing a Kawasaki via a rigid line.

Looks like fun but they were outlawed back in 2011 I think.....maybe last yr 2012 after someone was badly injured or killed on one.
Can't remember exactly what happened or where it was.

At least you were wearing a helmet.

My brother and I can control the tube pretty good... Takes awhile to learn but once you figure it out there a blast.

They were only out for 1-2 years, then got banned around 2007. We have never had any serious injuries thankfully.

Pay it forward. Towed a 24' Laser Boat 500 that had lost its water pump.

Would that happen to have happened recently at Lake Nacimiento going into oak shores? I saw a RXT (or maybe an RXP, I'm not as familiar with the newer hulls/colors) towing a 24' boat in

Most interesting thing I towed was my friends' 97.5 GSX L that he ran with gray fuel lines

Friends don't let friends drive with gray fuel lines!

Love Naci. No, Lake Powell - Brother in laws. I run a yellow Rxp when I can at Nacimento. Hope to hit it after Labor Day.

Aircraftdoc- let me know when you're going, my friend has a house there that I can use whenever, I don't mind that drive for a weekend on the water

bigJake- I told him multiple times to change them out, he harassed me for not making it out one weekend last year when I was changing mine, it was pure karma lol he ended up shelving that GSx and picked up a 99, also still with gray fuel lines
