is there an after market oil besides seadoo that can be used and what would be the specs on that thanks

Most people, including me, use MOBIL 1 75w90 synthetic gear lube. I've been using it for years. Works great. Autozone has it.

Not to hijack a thread or anthing. But i been running regular gl-5 75-90 gear oil in my 89 sp pump for a few months now and do far so good ... Does it have to be synthetic or ??? Maybe a dumb question but theres only a bearing and a few seals in there and i dont think theres anymore stress in the pump than in my dually axle that runs regular gear lube...

Don't know if the oil you're using is ok or not. I think people say use synthetic because the SeaDoo brand oil is a synthetic.

The synthetic will hold up to heat better. Since there is only 3 oz in the pump... I would want something that I know wont break down.

Seadoo do a small bottle of jet pump synthetic oil. When changing it wear gloves. Its the worst oil Ive tried to get off my hands. It stinks for days. Cant wash it off/ out of your skin.:puke:
