Hello, I know this may be a stupid question. i bought this ski off a freind of mine with a blown motor, so I never used the ski, anyways I know their is two different keys, a learning key and another one. I have one key for the ski, its yellow and says seadoo DESS. Is this the learning key, and also how do I get another key. My buddy is trying to find the other one but he has no idea where it is. Thanks

The only way is to go to your local dealer. They are mainly for security reasons they will not start without them the Learning limits speed to about 35 and the. On our ski the learning is white but that may vary with year it would help if you let us know what year and model your ski is.

2002 seadoo gtx 4tec, I have a yellow key that says DESS on it, this is my first ski, so I would like the learner key if this is not.

the yellow seadoo dess key is the normal key the learning one will say learning on it i do believe. to get another key you would A) need to buy the key from somewhere on line and then bring it down to a dealer to have it programmed with the ski or B) buy the key at the dealer and get it programmed at the dealer with the ski as well.. You will need the title as well to prove you own it in most cases.

I dont have a title just the reg, which I was told this is proof of ownership in new york state.

thats what I was told about title for boat/trailer being the same from AZ. Now I got a titled boat, but for trailer, grinded off the numbers, painted it, threw a few new parts on it, and with receipts from metal yard, got it registered as new/private builder...PTI tags.

I just strarted a new thread about this. Is this ski suposed to come with a title, I need to know so I can get it from the guy

You don't need another key, the yellow one you have is the standard full speed key and the only key you need. the white one is learning and limits the speed and I don't know anybody who actually uses it.

If you read it he said that he wants it and a lot of us use it new riders don't know how much power theses things really have and can be really dangerous if you don't know what they are doing so it is also a safety thing so you don't really need to comment things like that just because you don't use it doesn't mean that others don't.
