Can someone please let me know what a 10 hour break in means? Our dealership just said bring it back when you have 10 hours on it!

Straight out of Operators Manual.

With BOMBARDIER-ROTAX® watercraft engines, a break-in period is required
before operating the engine at full throttle. We recommend a break-in
of about 10 operating hours. During this period, maximum throttle
should not exceed 3/4, however, brief acceleration and speed variations contribute to a good break-in. Continued wide open throttle accelerations, prolonged cruising speeds and overloading the engine are detrimental during
the break-in period. To assure additional protection during the initial engine break-in, it is recommended to add 1 L of the same oil as in the injection oil reservoir in the fuel tank for the first full fuel tank filling only. To add injection oil in the fuel tank, proceed as follows: Fill fuel tank with approximately 15 liters (4 gal) of gasoline; then, add the injection oil in the fuel.
Fill up fuel tank with gasoline. Do not overfill.
NOTE: It is important to proceed in this order to allow a proper mixing of the oil in the gasoline. If oil is added first in an empty fuel tank, fuel lines will be filled up with injection oil leading in a no start condition of the engine.
CAUTION: Remove and clean spark plugs after engine break-in.

Hope that helps.

If your dealer was that lax about the 10 hour break-in...I'd find a new dealer that takes the time to explain the product features and benefits to you, and not just deliver it with no explanation.

:agree: Sounds like he was setting you up for failure and should've explained all of that.

You should maybe make sure you mention that the above is for the older 2 stroke motors. Never put oil in the gas tank of a newer sea-doo (one that has a 4 stroke motor).

Thank you! I will call the dealership!!! They went over the boat very thoroughly, but failed to mention the break-in!:)
