You can get a moderate increase, 2-3mph, with a performance impeller, however you will probably loose a little in the hole shot. If you're serious about performance and don't mind spending the money you can check out Riva performance kits, the downside is these kits will have and effect on reliability.

How is wear ring clearance to the impeller.....too large it will decrease your speed and hole shot?
Are your carbs aligned correctly to open 100%?
Correct spark plugs and gapped right?
What the compression of your motor?

Wash and wax the bottom of the hull....it goes faster!! :) :)

Scrape the barnacles off the bottom, and take some weight out of the boat! You'd be surprised how much removing extra weight can increase speed.

My honest assessment is you need a different boat.

Impeller and X charger with injectors. That should give you a nice kick in the seat for around $1200 if you're handy with a wrench. A little more if you have someone install it for you.

I did, and a new X charger, injections and bigger intercooler putting it in the water this weekend will keep you posted

If you run a bigger intercooler you'll need more than just injectors to run safely!!!! At that point the injectors just aren't enough. You'll also need a fuel pressure regulator or you will lean out at high rpm and melt a piston if you're not careful.

I wouldn't call it a test the little lake by my house only let me go 15 per hour because it was PWC day. But it sounds nice and no leaks. I did change my impeller and I was told to leave the stock injectors in. Going to the river on Mothers day will keep you posted

Let me get this straight, so you're running an X charger with a larger intercooler and stock injectors? If that's the case when you open it up, start a clock and let me know how long it runs before you melt a piston. It is unsafe to run an X charger on a 215 motor with the factory injectors let alone an X charger AND an larger intercooler.

My mechanic talked to Riva and they told him to remove the 42 lbs injectors and put the stock ones back in. Engine was idling high with the 42 lbs injectors installed once he put the stock ones back in it was idling correctly again.

It takes a little time for the computer to compensate for the larger injectors. Replacing them with the stock ones WILL cause you to melt a piston. This I promise you. The repairs will be extensive and expensive when that happens. I'm just trying to help you out so you don't destroy a perfectly good motor.

I tend to agree the computer will probably need time to relearn the idle and adding more air with a larger volume charger will tend to make it run leaner, probably burn a piston that way.

I'd go with the larger injectors as well, give it some time and see how that goes. If all seems good yank the plugs after you've run it awhile and see what they look like.

Looking forward to your "I blew up my Challenger motor" post in the near future. Best of luck to you since you clearly won't listen to any common sense advice to keep you from blowing up the motor.
