That's it, gonna sell my SeaDoo's, gonna get me a Wetbike, gonna get me a Mustang Convertible, gonna get me a blond chic in a bi-kini with big hair. And you can pull a skier, may be prohibited in some areas.

See you guys around on the Wetbike forum.

Lou

I saw a wetbike on my lake last week. I've never seen one before that. I felt compelled to immediately find and buy one. I found and watched this same video on youtube.

Until I found the only one for sale on craigslist in the entire country was in South Carolina or something. I did find that there's like an East Coast Wetbike club. One of the guys that makes all the videos for the club is here in NH

those were always pretty cool. a lot of riding in that video that would get you a ticket nowadays

yeah they do sink, I think they plane out at like 15-20 mph. In a no wake zone you're submerged.

wetbikes were made from the late 70s to 89 or so. There's a james bond film with Roger Moore where he rode one. Click on the pic below

they were also used, along with a bunch of kawi stand ups and a couple WR500s in one of the Police Academy movies.

Whats wrong with how they are riding? I always pull my skier within 10' of a rocky bank.

Apparently it was legal to ride like a lunatic in 1988. Glad they made it illegal so everyone stopped!

A PUMP INLET BEARING....I have to have one now!!!

A buddy of my dads has two of these at my dads place. Perhaps a new resto project???

That was a train wreck of a video to watch. I knew nothing would happen but it sure looked like it
was gonna! NASCAR riding!

makes you wonder how many of those they balled up and left on the bottom of the bay? intracoastal? while filming that promo.

At the beginning when the 4 of them were riding and one guy swooped towards the other 3, the camera jumped away as the guy
realized he might hit them. I thought they should have edited it out - and then they inserted a clip of it again later in the promo!

yeah! I'm fairly sure they crashed off camera!

Hold on here, let me just do 30 MPH right up to the dock then put my arm out to slow a 600 lb ski moving at 20 MPH... that is something that would never break an arm!

with those metal flat bottoms, i bet you could ride crazy shallow rivers!

Hah! I noticed that too. Trying to impress the girl in the bikini - who you will notice only put on the life jacket at the last moment..after
the camera had spent as much time on her as possible. Of course, the top speed was also reduced by 10 MPH due to her hair..

I've seen a few around my area for sale, I was almost tempted to buy them, but the asking price was ridiculous.
I would like to see how they handle with the front steering.
Has anyone every rode/owned one?

I have a feeling that part of the reason they keep weaving back and forth constantly might give away that they aren't the most stable craft at speed if you aren't used to them.

That's what I was thinking. I read a few reviews on them and seems the ride had a good bit of a learning curve... and people think x-4s are unstable.

The guy I saw riding one last week was having a real hard time staying up and keeping control. He was literally all over the place. I think if you're a big dude this isn't the craft for you
