What a joy I can go full throttle now.. however, my top speed was only 38mph, on speedometer, also the top RPM was only 7100. So maybe I was still breaking it in?

I video taped my boat passing the 9 hour mark to 10 hour mark! lol..

Lake Puddingstone is very small, so you have to go in circles, and you drop rpms really quickly. Also the Sheriff in that part of town "LOVES" writing citations, top speed on my lake is 35mph. Since my boat was the newest on the water, and I got pulled over the last time for riding my boat like a big PWC, they were keeping an eye on me... Believe me...

So back to the RPM, the top RPM I got was only 7100, as well, on my manual it states I can get up to 7400.

BUT IT DID FEEL FASTER!, I was amazed that about half throttle I was hitting 29 - 30 mph, also getting on plane was way quicker as well.

I could tell that if I was on a smoother lake, longer straight line, I would definitely hit 40 to 44 mph.

Video coming up when I get to the office

You need to stop going to puddle stone... and go hit pairs lake. Yes... it's going to be a 30~40 minute drive... but it's bigger, and they are a little looser.

I use to go out the 91, to the 60. I dont' remember the exit... but it's marked.

Looking forward to seeing the video!

Got my Speedster on the Catawba river north of Charlotte NC last week. Miles of "smooth glassy" water :). Really like the Speedster!!!!!

You have me thinking about taking the GoPro Hero camera I use on motorcycles and use it to make a video from two or three views. Will take the Speedster out on the river later this week & make a short video!

curious, but what is this 10 hour period you speak of ? i read on SBT's website that after the first 2 tanks you can go WOT

My 2012 Speedster operators manual states:

"A break-in period of 10 hours is required before continious operation at full throttle. To achieve a good break-in, throttle lever lever should not be advanced more than 3/4 opening, however, brief acceleration and speed varations contribute to a good break-in."

Good thing I've never gone over 6000 for a long amount of time...... Maybe 3-4 seconds at best...... Oh well...... I'm coming up on 9 hours so I'm almost there

Exactly what mine states, and since i got the 3 year warranty, I did not want to cross it, I did however, "WANTED TO" so badly lol... But like I stated somewhere else, its being recorded, so if anything came up under warranty, I did not want them to pull out the computer recordings and say "there, you went full throttle at 5 hours, and then at 8 hours, etc."

Remember, its "big money" if anything goes with the engine (like $4,000 dollars or more money). So I maintained it exactly as stated in the manual, once I hit the 10 hour mark baby! I WENT FULL THROTTLE!! lol.. I even have it on video!

DR. HONDA

Ok, you where the one that told me about Puddle Stone! and I appreciate it, I actually do love all those sheriffs and coast guard personnel when I take out my kids and my sisters kids. Its very comforting knowing help is right there (especially if im wakeboarding).

I took it to Lake Piru as well, its a very large lake (not like Lake Mead, but very large), and there isn't anyone out there, its great for going fast and having a great time, but help is a far away, so you have to give and take what you want to do that day.

Dr. Honda Do you mean Lake Perris?

I got mine too late in the season to get ten hours. So I had to wait until the following season to run them four more hours and then FINALLY got to run them up to speed,,,

It was hell waiting... :)
