Well I joined the seadoo boat club

2002 one owner.. garage kept. Needs steering cable, pipe welded, carb clean. Not sure if I'm going to keep it. Going to take it out this weekend and see how I like boating. Its almost flawless besides the few repairs needed.

Just like mine, different color. A little weak in the hole shot for what I was hoping, I may need to look at a different impeller.

Agreed...

They don't have the hit of a PWC... but they can be massaged a little, and they will still put a grin on your face.

1) Install a skat-trak swirl. (hands down... the best hole shot impeller)

2) Make sure the wear ring is tight.

3) make sure the pump and shoe is sealed.

4) tighten the carbon ring. (either push it back to a tighter slot, or space the boot with a zip tie)


After working over my sportster... I could spin it, and it would jump when I hit the throttle. (if my myself, or with one passenger)

Without a doubt... get some hydroturff. It will cut the glare of all the white gel... it will keep you safe... and it makes the boat look good.


I have mixed feelings on the radio. While running... that little boat is loud, and the radio just adds to the noise. Even on my Islandia... it's 50~50 if we even have it on while swimming.



So my list would be....

1) Turff

2) pump massage/impeller

3) sound system. (basic)

Water test fail. Super bog and stalling in the water. Runs perfect on the trailer. Takes off great for about 1 sec then bogs way down. Max rpm is about 4000.
