How many of you all worry about the weight limit of these boats?

Mine says its 650lbs. 4 people being 200lbs each, seems low.

Discuss/Comments?

JC,

Would you be referring to a Speedster 150?? Regardless, every boat has a coast guard approved capacity rating. Exceed it you might be fine however if you have ANY issue you open yourself to legal and possibly civil suits. They are rated as such for good reason.

wouldnt go over weight limit and passenger limit...ask'n for ticket, also, boat wont perfrom well, along with overwork'n the engine.

Ditto on everyones comments here.

On top of that, there isn't any room really to fit a 5th except on the bow. Which is another fine here (riding on the bow, probably more or less for big boats where yuo can lay out on the bow)

Mine is rated at 650, but one time I had 900 (before new wear ring and impeller) and it took a half mile to plane. After the new wear ring and Skat-trak impeller, it would pull us all out on a plane in a couple of seconds.

But, it was VERY crowded with 4 200 lb people in it (3 of us over 200).

Regardless, it is a Federal Coast Guard rating, and you will be ticketed. Then they will get you for the lack of life jackets, the empty beer cans, etc. etc.

I didnt go over the rate for amount of people. just weight. but i have it at about 750-800lbs on sun and it wouldnt plane well, so I think ill be sticking with 3 or less from now on.

I did get to take it out just by myself, and that little 720 scoots for sure.

I went over capacity on mine this weekend, but not by much, it didn't seem to hurt it much, it planed right out, and seemed to be perfectly happy.
