wear ring

bought my 2005 challenger 180 a couple of weeks ago and the boat was hard to plane and never really seemed to have much power. took my wear ring out tonight to check it out and I was hoping to get some opinions on the matter. Is it safe to say that my wear ring is the reason for all my cavitation and no power? I'm thinking YES.

Yep its destroyed. Need to refurbish that impeller too. It may need totally replaced. Looks like someone already tried to file it down.

wow...would say your impeller also needs to be replaced!!

I really should have known that the boat wasn't very well taken care of, when the previous owner didn't even know how to launch it for the test drive. Oh well, even with these repairs i don't think i could have found a better deal. Not like it's difficult to fix anyway.
