Waterbox/muffler - what is the trick to get water out OR how much antifreeze do I put

Winterizing 94 XP 657X.

Took waterbox out while winterizing ski and shaked it every which way possible. Small amount of water came out but there is still quite it bit in there that just doesn't seem to want to come out. What is the trick to getting all the water out? Alternatively the shop manual says to put antifreeze in the waterbox for winterizing, what it doesn't say is how much - so how much, 1 quart??

I put about a cupfull in my waterbox...it just has to get enough in there to dilute the water so it does not freeze easily.

Really, it's not a big deal. The water can expand, and won't cause damage. But... as above... as long as you get some in it... you will be fine.
