Hi , Kind of a random question I am working on a Ski at home and took the exhaust off to weld in a new rotted out freeze plug after work. Stupid question but does anyone know the thread size on the waterbox for the water regulator valve fitting? The threads look a bit iffy and I wanted to run a tap through it to clean it up. If no one answers Ill bring the fitting tomorrow and match it but figured someone may be able to answer me.. Thanks

Thread should be 1/8" NPT

Thank you , I have threads cleaned up nice , one more question so I tighten the fitting snug into my water regulator valve than I use the wrench to tighten the fitting into water box , I have it installed now but the water regulator valve turns pretty easy and I'm afraid being plastic to try make it an entire complete rotation to make it line up for hoses again , can these just be snug or should they bottom out and tighten pretty firmly . Thanks

im not 100% sure on that one. I've never removed the fitting from the regulator. I've only taken the entire assembly off of the waterbox when I had it cut open to fix a broken baffle. Someone will chime in and answer your question.

The plastic is probably slightly stripped. Teflon tape the threads into the regulator, then the water box side. Use the wrench to tighten the entire assembly to the water box. It's tapered threads, you don't have to make it balls azz tight. That's a calibrated fitting so you can't just use any old fitting. Sorry, I didn't read the entire post.
