Hi guys,
I recently bought a 2002 GTX Limited. Just went through the winterization process and noticed something:
When I was flushing the exhaust system with water (idling motor with hose connected to the inlet on the back) I noticed the exhaust J pipe had some pin hole sized leaks that were spitting water into the hull.
I would like to address this leak. Is it better to replace the entire J pipe or can I weld the holes shut? Based on the location I’ll likely need to remove the exhaust either way. I’m just new to this so I so I don’t know what the better solution is.
If I were to weld it, does anyone know what material the J pipe is made of?
