When i wash my jetski with fresh water after a day out on salt water. The water leaks from the exhaust manifold and J pipe> Any suggestions what may be causing this t happen. Thanks Steve
Is the leak coming from the pipe itself. If so, this is a common issue. Has to do with how they were cast. There are three locations that hold water and they basically rust through. If this is your issue, remove it, bring and weld all three of the plug like areas.
All three plug like areas are fine with no leaks. It appears to leak only when fresh water is used to clean the ski after a day out on the salt water. Could it be the flexible/expansion joint on the J pipe. Thanks Moderator Coastiejoe. Regards

Back it down the launch ramp seat off. Leave it tied to trailer. need two people. Put it in neutral and you run throttle and other guy uses a flash light to find leak. By having two people on it the ski should stay in place on trailer. Check all the bolts and stud on the pipe. I had a gasket only leak at high output. Feel the Welch plugs that cover casting holes on pipe. Any roughness in the middle may mean it leaks only at engine high RPM. Check clamps on muffler and hoses. You pop one off it will sink quickly.
