Water in expansion pipe?

I'm battling with a 2004 Seadoo 3D 787RFI with low power and have another thread going to try and figure that out. I thought I would pose this next questions sepealratley as it might apply to other people as well.

The manual says low power can be a result of water in the expansion pipe due to a broken water jacket. Does anyone know if it would be possible to use a scope camera to inspect for water in it instead of trying to pull that pipe out? It looks like a bastard to get it out.

I have swapped out every other part I can think of and am ready to pull the trigger on a new engine but don't want to find I still have a problem after the fact.

It really isn't a problem as these are wet pipes. They have an outer water jacket but there is still water injected into the pipe. When they fail it is the welch plugs on the bottom of the pipe that leak water into the engine compartment, not into the inner pipe.

Ok thanks. I just got to wondering when the manual said that a leaking expansion pipe could cause it to not hit high RPMs and a loss of power. I will scratch it off the list of possibilities. Going to scope the cylinders tonight and get everyone's opinion on the condition.

Are your rav valves stuck?,,,do a compression test,,,your problem is not water in the pipe,,,could also be fuel delivery after that.

Rave valves aren't stuck, cleaned them up. Fuel pressure is a constant 55psi from idle up to WOT (or as much as I can get anyways). Compressions read at 135 for both cylinders but going to scope it and post the pictures of the cylinders. I've swapped so many parts that I'm leading to that since I've noticed it seems to oil up the plugs really quickly.
