I have been having intermittent acceleration problems with my 2009 23 wake. It has been checked out twice by service techs with no resolution. The problems occurs after going from neutral to forward. The top speed will be about 6 mph and above 2500 rpm significant vibration occurs and no increase in speed. THis is effecting both engines. It can run fine for hours prior to having a problem. There doesn't appear to be anything in either of the pump assemblies and all the components seem to be in spec, according to the dealer. After pulling it out and relaunching it it will run ok for a while. This has now happened twice, any ideas? Any possibility the reverse gate is hanging up and not fully engaging in the up position?

I dont know enough about this boat to reply. Wait i just did lol. How about a ride? Ill be bringing my boat out to Havasu when it gets warm. On a serious note I cant figure out what ur saying. Does it speed up when u shift into gear or is it something else? is the vibration intermittent? how do u know it is both engines? -B

When I shift into forward top speed is 5 mph. Vibration occurs if I take the RPM's above 2500 with no increase in speed. By intermittent I mean twice it has occurred randomly after running fine for a few hours. Both times it occurred after going into neutral or reverse than back into forward. When its relaunched it ran ok. When it's happened I have run each engine independently to confirm it effects both. Anyone know if the reverse gate does not fully engage in the forward position if it could cause this?
