OK quick question, I’m assuming there’s no big difference between the 657X motor which is my speedster jet boat and the 720 motor that is in my 97GTS right? The reason I ask is I just got done rebuilding the motor in the 720 and I noticed on the cylinder head cover it’s got an intake and an exhaust arrow on the top of it for the hoses, when I looked at my speedster the idiot that I bought the boat from had it hooked up backwards so he had the hose going from the jet pump to the right hand side of the motor which is the side the water exits the motor. I guess my question is running it hooked up backwards like that, will it cause any damage or run poorly?

Ok, but could it cause the motor to not get up to rpm to get on plane?, also on tgese speedsters shouldn’t the hose go from the top of the head instead of hooking up to the exhaust pipe?
