FYI. I bought a new outboard motor for the pontoon this year, a 4-stroke 90hp Merc. The shop that installed the new motor also installed new fuel line from the tank to the motor. The old line circa 2006 had deteriorated much like the grey tempo fuel lines on SeaDoo's.
So all this time I had been cursing BRP for using cheap fuel lines, turns out that this is a common problem. The mechanic installed more CG approved fuel line, he was required to, but told me it should be changed every 3-4 years. It's the ethanol in the gas that is dissolving the glue.
BTW, love the new motor, plenty of power (moved up from a 55hp 2-stroke) and is a real gas sipper.
Just thought you guys would want to know.
