looking to buy first used pwc ( 2000 seadoo gs). wanting to know reasonable usage hours. can anyone help me? please advise.

tough one!

That would really be a tough one. It all drepends how aggresive the other owner was in riding!.....was he a wave jumper............

since there is no way for me to know how hard of a rider this owner was. i feel that i can only go by the basics. i was thinking that this base info would have something to do with average usage hours.

hours

When i bought mine i gathered that i would probably want to buy one with under 50 hrs. of course as previously said it depends on the rider before and even a little bit on the type of ski. but just to throw a ball park number out there i'd say 50 and i'd check to make sure he maintained it on a regular basis and ask what he did for the break in process. the rest is really just up to you to try and read him and seeif hes being honest and if you think it was taken care of properly

I believe if you take the seadoo to a local dealer that services them, they can plug into you seadoo and read the hours off the mpem( multi Purpose Electrical Modulator). It depends on the year and model of the seadoo if it applies. Inquire to your local dealer for availability and price to have it checked.

i'm not sure if its the same in every state but in md you can search the title to see if anythings ever happened to it and they have a blue book with estimated values and so you can compare prices with hours and everything. just search google you should be able to find it. see what everyone else is paying. i used it and compared 20 different rxps from around my area before i bought mine
