I've tried 3 different pumps all wont work I think because I have to swedge the hose down so small to get it in the dip stick hole. Any one have a good idea?
thanks
Depends on what it is actually doing. Usually the siphon tube needs to go in about 475mm to get into the sump. Is the pump just drawing air or what is exactly happening? usually any pump designed to remove oil through the dipstick hole should work fine.
I am using a siphon gun. The oil makes its way to the gun then there is so much pressure that it blows the glue out of the connections that I had to make to swedge the tube down from 3/8 to 1/8 tube. I believe I have tried with the oil fill cap off and on. Next time I will try foresure with cap off. It was just overfilled by the last owner so I want to take a little out and its driving me nuts.
I use the same pump Loudoo commented on and have never had a problem. It comes with 2 or 3 (can't remember off hand) different size tubes. I suspect the pump you are using may not be up to the task?
