Triton XLT Trailer

Is a Triton XLT Trailer with 8 inch tires too small of a trailer to tow around? My SeeDoo GTX 215. The waverunner weighs about 850 lbs.Or should I upgrade to a better quality trailer or put 12 inch tires on the trailer?:

My Shore lander trailer for my 96 GTX (just over 600lbs) has 12 inch tires (or as crisso says tyres).
I would stay with the larger size, they rotate less while towing.

Check the rating on the trailer for weight capacity. If it's at least 1000 lbs then you can put bigger tires on it, if there is room under the fenders.

850 + gas (about 6lbs per gallon)+ misc equipment you are close to 1K lbs.

You are correct about the rotation that's what my dealer said. you are also correct about the gas weight. I will either upgrade my trailer or see if new 12 inch tires can be put on the existing trailer. Thanks for the help. This is screw up #6 since i bought this machine this summer. 8 inch tires? That is crazy. That is like golf cart tires. I am amazed they would even put those on the trailer originally.

Some of the 8" tires work well with very high capacity but they are pretty wide, they use them on snowmobile trailers. Just check the capacity rating of the tire and the load rating, it's on the side.

I have the same trailer with the larger alloy 12" wheels and it carries my heavy GTX260 IS LTD with ease. If you go to your local dealer that sells these Triton trailers they might give you a good deal on them. Sales have dropped off and I got a great price on mine

Perfect Great Idea .I saw the 12 inch tires on the specs.Better tires helps with traveling distances.
