Transducer Hole Repair - Question

Any recommendation on how to repair the holes in this hull from the previous transducer? In fact I would like to remove the other as well and go to a through hull transducer?

I am in the Jacksonville, FLORIDA area.

Fill holes with either 3M 5200 or Marine Tex.
