I have a 96' seadoo xp and was wondering it it were safe for the ski to pull a tube with the hook on the back that looks like the one in the picture? to me that doesnt seem strong enough but i just dont want to see the rear end of my ski being ripped off! LOL i searched but nothing really answered my question.

Towing.......?

I understand your concern when you look at this design. But the easiest way to explain the capacity of this fastener is: it meets the design to hold the ski back at full throttle without damage to the fiberglass. Now, if you were to attach this same fastener to a car and give it a pull, it would probably fail at a few hundred pounds.

The fasteners are designed and installed based on what the engine capacity is to pull, or dry weight of the craft. On a boat, you may find this same design but used with a backing plate.

so if i pull a small tube with people weighing from 100-250lbs it should be fine? what do you think to skis max to pull is? Thanks

If you can get them out of the water it will be fine. You won't be able to over pull the capacity.
