Towable Tubes

I have two two person tubes for friends / people who do not tube much but wanted to find a great one for single riders. I want something that is easy to slide and actually takes work to ride . Used to have the big tall tube that you had to climb into the boat to get back on but thats dead. Everything I try lately has been kinda slow.

Sounds like you need what some of us old-timers started tubing with...an old truck inner tube, tie a rope around it near the schrader valve, hook it to the back of a boat and go! Oh yeah, make sure the schrader valve is pointing down when you get on it...slides easy due to minimal contact patch with the water and it takes plenty of work to ride!

I haven't had much experience with a single rider tube in a while...good luck with your search...

lol, that sounds awesome.

Last spring I was looking for a 4-person tube that you sit on, I did a lot of googling and found some that I thought I'd like. I then looked for those towables on youtube and that helped with making my decision (got the Sea Doo GX4, great tube if you're ever in the market for that type of towable).

I'm thinking something with a low deck height...maybe something in the sled shape as opposed to the round? Don't know if the sled type would be more or less challenging?

Something else to check out might be the SportStuff Booster Ball, helps to keep the tow rope from dragging when the towable is going accross the wake...speed up your ride and help you "slide"! It also helps to knock down some of the spray from the jet pump...riders seem to like this?

Google my friend! Again, good luck and have fun!

Thanks! Yea I have been googling alot haha. Figured more opinions the better. Watching used ones too to see if I can pick one type from another a bit cheaper. Hard to decide when your dropping 100 bucks and have some idea of waht it will do.
