Tough start 98 GSX

I'm a newbie so don't rag me out too bad.. Choke fully on, turns over good, thinks sometimes it wants to start but doesn't. Put a few drops of gas in plug hole, and then she fires up but you still have to keep the choke on for a tad. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I like to do my own maintenance when I can.. Thanks..

grey fuel lines if you have them need to be replaced with normal fuel hose, turn your selector switch to reserve and see how it does, change your fuel filter, change the fuel filters in your carbs, rebuild your carbs.
