Too much oil in Cylinders

New to Sea Doo's and need some help. Bought a 1997 GTX 2 years ago and it ran fine right out the gate. Over the winter I flushed it and removed the battery. Spring comes along and all I get is a click. So I install a new battery but still clicks. Removed plugs and oil shot out the holes. I spent about an hour getting the oil out until it started. Ran it in the water and all was good all summer. Did the same this past winter and again Click. Oil in cylinders. What is going on that the cylinders are filling up with oil? Cranks over fine with plugs out but click with plugs installed.

the middle crank seals seal oil into the center section of the crankcase where the rotary valve drive is. they weep a little. over they have six months to weep a little. this motor has a rep for those seals failing, but what you have is winter seepage and a springtime smoke party. just remember; smoke means you are getting enough oil!!!

okay, that is what I have been hearing about the seals. What about the click when the plugs are in? My battery is fully charged and the booster won't help any.

Don't use the booster to start the seadoo. It could power surge the electrical components and cause more problems. Charge the battery un connected to the seadoo. Check the ground- wire going to the engine by the starter. It needs to be clean and have a good connection. If it has a bad connection or the battery is low it will not have enough amps to turn the engine over.
Keep us posted on you progress.

I have 2 batteries so I charged them both. I removed the spark plugs and with an evacuator I removed the excess oil in the cylinders. Top off the fuel to be sure I had a good supply. Then with a piece of cardboard I covered the spark plug holes so that I wouldn't get covered in oil. Then I cranked the S.O.B. in 5 second intervals. This went on for about 3-5 minutes until all that came out was a mist. Installed a fresh set of plugs and viola! It started and I ran the water and revved it up a few times with lots of smoke but I just let it run for about 10 minutes. Took it out to the Lake and had a day of fun.

So thanks for the info on getting her going.

You can hook up the hose to the seadoo and have them run for up to 5 minutes. Connect the hose and start the seadoo. Turn on the water after it is started. Turn off the water, than shut down the seadoo. This way it won't allow water to back flow into the engine through the exhaust due to no back pressure from the engine not running. The bearings and seals on the impeller jet pump are cooled from being in the water. When it is on the trailer it doesn't have that cooling effect so they will get hot after about 5 minutes.
I pre start my seadoo's too, dry before I leave for the launch too. Just for a second or 2 to be sure it will start at launch. Peace of mind is worth lot.
I hope this helps...
